I have known Danielle since she was ten years old. I was thrilled to be invited as a guest at her wedding and even more so when she asked if I would shoot her wedding! I have to admit a little trepidation when she told me her plans. She wanted to hold the ceremony outside on January 2, 2010 in Washington, DC. I was worried it would be very cold. I seriously underestimated a DC winter. The high on the day of the wedding was 23 degrees! Brrrrr!
Despite the cold, the wedding was absolutely beautiful! It was a crystal clear day and the colors seemed to be exceptionally brilliant in the winter sunlight.
Danielle's husband is Kory and since both Danielle and Kory were already parents this wedding had a very special element, the joining of two families. Chance, Cole, and Ivy joined their parents in the very touching ceremony by promising to love and appreciate the special family they were about to become. Then each child was given a very special engraved gift to symbolize the moment.
The wedding was simply beautiful!
